Base Mosquito Live! @ BAR 414.

base mosquito final 600

Tech-Funk, Trip Hop, Funk, Tech-Electro, Nu-Jazz, Underground Pop, Alternative, Experimental and Progressive...(I think that is enough eh??) dance music, journeying from jazzy into a tribal realm of mind-altering melodies and insane beats. Ret (live production, keyboards, flute, effects, backing vocals) Jules (vocals, samplers, effects) and Jay (percussion) deliver intense live performance, acoustic vibrations and the fiercest sounds on the planet. Ret is highly educated in flute, piano and drums and used his roots in jazz to develop his passion for electro and tech sounds. He has played, partied and performed his way around the world, through countless styles of performing, composing and remixing. Ret continues to pour extraordinary talents into his music as Base Mosquito continues to grow… Jules became recognised as one of the dynamic performers of the nineties dance scene, spending three years with successful techno band, ‘Dance Overdose’. After working with the top DJs and PAs of the time, Jules teamed up with Ret and developed her deep connection with their incredible music… Jay has been playing percussion on the UK dance scene for almost fifteen years, working with the likes of CJ Macintosh, Joey Negro, Andy Cato (Groove Armada) and The Ratpack. He has performed all over the world for Ministry of Sound with his unique talent for percussion… Base Mosquito have a monthly residency at Exit Bar on Brick Lane, perform regularly at the Inspiral Café, Camden and play bars, clubs and festivals across the UK. Experience their sound as they join forces with the power of the Kokopelli to bring you an auditory orgasm in cutting edge music. "HOPE is the ability to hear the music of the future and FAITH is the courage to dance to it in the present" Little Gift to all our fans from Exit Bat Shoreditch. Sorry we are not there to entertain you, but we are still thinking of you and we are hoping to see you soon.

On Sunday 20th June Base Mosquito will touch down in what we hope will be a new monthly resident slot at the brand new Bar 414 in Brixton.
